Frequently Asked Questions

Will merging affect the quality of my PDFs?

No — qpdf recombines the original PDF page content directly, so there's no re-rendering or quality loss.

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?

No hard limit in the tool itself, though total upload size is bound by the server's configured limit.

Why does this tool say it's unavailable on some servers?

It relies on the "qpdf" command-line tool being installed on the server. Shared hosting sometimes restricts which software can be installed — a VPS or dedicated server gives you full control to install it.
